
The Soldier On Award was created to recognize anually an individual who has made a significant contribution to the cause of changing the end of the story for homeless veterans. The Soldier On Award recognizes individuals whose leadership and actions have advanced the goal of ending veteran homelessness.

GORDON H. MANSFIELD
Former Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Gordon H. Mansfield served as the chief operating officer of the federal government’s second largest department, was responsible for a nationwide system of health care services, benefits programs and national cemeteries for America’s veterans and their dependents. Following his 1964 enlistment in the Army, Mr. Mansfield served two tours of duty in Vietnam. His combat decorations include the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Presidential Unit Citation.
ADMIRAL MIKE MULLEN
Admiral Mullen is the 17th and current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is the highest ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces. Admiral Mullen previously served as the Navy's 28th Chief of Naval Operations. His other four-star assignments include Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe; Commander, Allied Joint Force Command Naples; and 32nd Vice Chief of Naval Operations.
CONGRESSMAN JOHN OLVER
Congressman Olver has represented the 1st Congressional District spanning Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin, Worcester, and Middlesex Counties- since 1991. He is currently the only member from the Massachusetts delegation serving on the House Appropriations Committee. Since his appointment to the Appropriations Committee, Olver's chief objective has been to obtain funding for economic development projects at home that spur new business opportunities in central and western Massachusetts. Protecting the environment, increasing worker rights and benefits, expanding access to affordable health care, and improving education likewise are top priorities.
