SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It's good news Tuesday for some local veterans.
Workers at the registry of motor vehicles in Springfield raised 12 hundred dollars for Soldier On, a non-profit agency that provides shelter and the essentials to homeless veterans.
The RMV presented the money Tuesday afternoon.
Veterans receiving the money told 22 News donations are a reminder that their hard work is appreciated.
Tina Marie says, “When people are helping to support you, you feel even more worthy. You know, like you really do deserve this you know you put your life at risk and you really do deserve it.”
The money will be sorted out to the five homes in Western Massachusetts and used as needed.
